About Maid Shokun Manga Volume 1

Maid Shokun 1 features story and art by Akira Kiduki & Nanki Satou.

Chiyoko was just an ordinary country bumpkin, sent to the bright lights of the big city for college. But after a run-in (literally) with Haine, the head maid of Mille Fille, Chiyoko finds herself working part-time in a maid cafe and learning how to provide superior service to the otaku clientele.

Now, with the help of her fellow maids, Chiyoko explores the life and lifestyle that surrounds the cafe culture - and for every new thing she learns about the business, Chiyoko also learns a little about herself.

Maid for the Average Joe

by -

The main theme of this manga is maid cafe for social outcasts who obsess over games, anime, or whatever. The people who staff the cafe are into maids and maid culture just like their clientele. It portrays them in a generally positive life while addressing some of the quirks and problems of their obsessive nature. Seems ok on its own, but not too exciting.

Good read. I want the next volume.

by

I enjoy the 1st volume of this slice of life series, which follows the protagonist, Chiyoko, & her adaption to being introduced at working part time at the maid cafe. I like the problem, that her, & the other maids had to face. Haine, & Arumi are personal fave. I recommend the read if you're into slice of life, or want something different.
