Great set, misleading extras

Do note that the end cards are not individual, but a part of the booklet. Keep that in mind if you were looking to collect these cards

My one complaint is the vaguely defined "soundtrack" this set comes with. As someone who places a high emphasis on the importance of music, I was most excited to get my hands on Magia Record's grossly underrated and underappreciated OST. Much to my dismay, the advertising leading up to the moment I played the CD for myself was grossly misleading, in my opinion. It only includes 13 tracks of the many that play throughout the anime, and for whatever reason, almost all of them save for two or three were the meandering melodies that are used in exposition or traveling scenes; NONE of the incredible and striking battle or emotional tracks. I do not see why the entire soundtrack, or at least the most unique songs, were not considered. Especially with as much money as this box set demands.

a good product to own for fans of either madoka or magical girls

i can appreciate that the first season of magia record actually came to blu ray rather complete *in oppose to having 5 separate sets to complete the show* i do like the sleeve cover, i thought it was rather nicely detailed with iroha and yachyo in the front and then taking out the actual box it have the other characters, the booklet i thought was okay, it gives a good brief description for each of the magical girls you see, though it would be nice to read a director's comment of sorts, but the artwork that was in the booklet was well done, so there's the tradeoff, the magia reports are cute, nothing too over the top, as for the soundtrack, it was okay, i feel like it was aiming more towards ambience and i can take it or leave it, as for the show overall i say it's worth checking out, it's a nice expansion to the world of magica madoka from a different cast of characters, new witches and even old encounters from the main series, so it's a good mix of the old and the new.

You get 13 episodes, 13 music tracks and a booklet

It arrived in perfect conditions! The box and printing is good, but I was expecting for something nicer (like hologram parts). It has only the booklet and the discs box. End card illustrations are printed IN the booklet (in case you wanted separated cards) buy they look good. A big disappointment was the music CD, it only contains 13 tracks (from episode 1 to 3) and I really was hoping for all entire Season 1 music collection (as the whole episodes were included). Sana and Yachiyo's art are hidden behind the CDs, so you can't see them clearly except for removing them.

I really love this spin-off, and all the Madoka Magica franchise, so I'm super excited for getting these episodes, so I'm still like this product, even if I feel it's a little expensive for what you get.

Note: I am from Mexico, and when the package arrived, they charged me an extra $25 USD for importing taxes, so keep it in mind!

Sound Cuts

This is an excellent anime as it should be as Shaft made it. It has great twists and turns throughout with the animation being well done. The story itself is great and I look forward to season two.

However there are some complaints. Spending this much money on a set like this means that you tend to expect top notch of everything you get. The ost is twenty-nine minutes long. As the other reviewers put it, it is far too small for what is in the show itself.

The english dub of this anime has a hiccup in the fourth episode. The audio cuts out for a second or two then begins to play again. It happens at the one hour and twenty minute in at the thirty-eight to forty second mark. This is inexcusable for a set this expensive which is why I gave it three stars.
