ok what now?!

so I gave a 5 star on the show, my actual review (having only purchased the initial dvd release of the complete series in 4 parts) is the msrp. In what world is the bluray release 100% more expensive then the initial dvd release?~! msrp for the dvd in 4 parts is AROUND $300 (give or take and this is THE MSRP) for the 2 seasons the msrp set by aniplex is almost $600 for the new blurry release?! good lord, thank trsi for throwing this in the discount section. Their price is almost reasonable, but anyone who is a fan of aniplex knows even the most amazing retailers (trsi is the best) can only work with what they're given.

can some one please tell aniplex they would make much more money remarketing their releases in a north american fashion, and dropping the Japanese price point marketing diagram? Yes, we all love your shows, and quality of releases, but the 10$ plus per episode is a bit too rich for the average working american otaku, plain and simple.

YAY ANIPLEX USA BOUT TIME😍😘

ALSO LOVE THAT THERE NO EXTRA STUFF TO JACK UP THE PRICE AND I HOPE THE AUDIO AND PICTURE SUPERB AS WELL THE PACKAGING STURDY CLIPBOARD BOX AND CASE ISN'T MADE WITH CHEAP MATERIAL 🙏🙏🙏 IF U LOVE THE SHOW GO BUY IT SINCE THIS IS THE BEST PRICE YOUR GONNA GET WITH ANIPLEX USA 😊😇

Amazing anime, mediocre release courtesy of Aniplex

Just received both my Labyrinth and Kingdom of Magic sets and boy have I never been more disappointed by this pathetic excuse for packaging. Like Retail price for $300? In what 3rd world country exactly? There's no deal here, no extra goods, nah you get a cheap flimsy outer box, with a bulky cheap plastic case. I see now why Aniplex avoided posting any pics of these sets, it made no sense to me but now it does. Magi is fantastic don't get me wrong, but Aniplex is a joke. Of course you corporate slaves here will spam this review with "Not Helpful" because you're incapable of giving criticism and you must protect massa Aniplex's honor but anyways. Purchase with low expectations because that's all this release will be able to give you.

Very happy customer here. 😃 💗💗💗💗💗

It's the anime with no extra junk to Jack up the prices. The artwork on the Blu-ray discs are nice the artwork on the box and case is nice too. I like how the discs are packaged as well.....didn't much care for the expensive plastic that the box sets were wrapped in though. But Aniplex and Rightstuf has my thanks because now I have both seasons of Magi! Definitely worth the price especially for all 26 episodes. 💗💗💗

Amazing...

It's amazing how many people continue to give money to Aniplex - actually justify their insane, insanely overpriced releases, while they simultaneously gobble up licenses from other licensors like Funimation, and then do NOTHING with them while their respective sets go out of print and become a scalper's delight.

Aniplex is bad, and you should feel bad for buying their things. You are part of the problem.

MAGI BLURAY YAY!!!

If you already have the first season release it comes in the same packaging just with different artwork, I was hoping for the OST in this one but sadly I did not get it, but I guess its ok since I finally got to have Magi season 2 on bluray which is mainly what I wanted since I heard AOA released it previously on DVD only which I felt it was a middle finger to the series.

The anime itself is fantastic and I recommend to everyone and if people are still debating on buying it as it is on the pricey side since its AOA you can always watch season 1 and 2 on Netflix which is where I realized I wanted this boxset in my collection no doubt.

Great series that was hard to find

Honestly, the packaging is nothing that special or great, and there isn't a lot in the way of special features in this product. However with that said, I am still very happy with the product! I've been keeping my eye open for this series for a while now. Only part 2 is available here, and part 1 has been hard to find; the only copies I could find that would work in a Canadian DVD player was about $900 CAD or obviously bootlegged. So even with less than stellar packaging, I would still recommend this product if you don't mind it being on blu-ray only.

worth it, but a barebones release

I purchased and watched both this Blu-ray set and the sequel "kingdom of magic" set. The series is your basic shounen manga fare with an Arabian nights flavor. I thought the plot development was weak at times but overall it's a acceptable entry in the genre. I didn't feel I had wasted either my time or money on it. I had no problems or concerns with either video or audio quality. This release is fairly barebones however, with few extras worth mentioning - which is disappointing, considering the price. The packaging is especially disappointing in that regard, looking and feeling like the packaging of a product less than half its cost.
