About Machimaho: I Messed Up and Made the Wrong Person Into a Magical Girl! Manga Volume 1
Machimaho: I Messed Up and Made the Wrong Person Into a Magical Girl! Manga Volume 1 features story and art by Souryu.
While searching for a brave candidate to become a magical girl and defend the world from evil, a mythical creature finds Kayo Majiba, a cute young lady who seems like the perfect fit. But when this newly turned magical girl proves to be a crude delinquent who goes berserk in a conflict, it becomes clear that this may have been a terrible mistake. Now evil—and any innocent bystanders—will face the rage of a magical girl gone wrong!
Majiba Kayo is a chain-smoking, class-skipping, hell-raising juvenile delinquent and pretty much the last person on Earth you’d expect to be a magical girl. But after a run-in with magical creature Myu, everything changes. Now, when Kayo transforms, neither evildoer nor innocent bystander are safe!
Ratings & Reviews
Pretty decent so far

A pretty decent manga, decided to jump into it mostly blind. Its got its pretty good comedy moments in it and got me to laugh a lil a couple times. Instead of long drawn out battles usually she just OHKs her enemy's before they even get done talking or if they talk to much. Has a lot of ecchi moments but you could tell it would have them just from the cover so I know what I was getting into to, so its fine. I already ordered the second volume and hope its just as good or better then this one was.
It's actually worth it, but don't expect Grade A content.

I ordered this and he second vol based on a review in OtakuUSA, and I was not disappointed. Storywise, you get the story in the description. Wrong girl, totally wrong girl, gets magical powers. The first vol sets up the chars, and dips its toes into backstory. The second starts to show character dynamics/relations. And I look forward to the third. Mild Ecchi content.
I want to learn more about Kayo!
This was a nice start! The story tries to be hammy and cliche (like the cutesy mascots), but it has a unique twist to it that makes it funny and enjoyable.
Kayo is a nice change to the magical girl series and I would love to know more about her story and why she is the way she is.
Only downfall is that almost every action sequence has a panty shot. I'm not too against them, but you can tell that they want to add fanservice in almost any way they can.
