About Lucky Star Complete Series + OVA Essentials Blu-ray

Lucky Star contains episodes 1-24 plus the OVA of the anime directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto.

What’s the best way to eat dessert? Do twins really have a psychic connection? What kind of guys are into moe girls? These are the kinds of questions that float through the inquisitive mind of anime super-fan Konata Izumi. When she’s not lost in her favorite manga or logging hours in one of her online games, she’s debating the mysteries of the universe with the best friends a girl could ask for.

And while they might not share Konata’s refined eye for anime tropes and trivia, she doesn’t hold it against them. After all, Miyuki Takara is a precious moe dream girl, and twin sisters Tsukasa and Kagami are always there when she needs a helping hand or a notebook to copy homework from (even if Kagami insists on being totally tsundere about it). At the end of the day, Konata could look far and wide, but she’d never find a better group of girls to get her through the horrors of high school!

Special Features: Lucky Racer: Checker Flag in Akihabara & Lucky Racer Highlight, Radio Kansai's Public Recording of “New Lucky Channel”, On-Screen Text Reference Guide, Trailers.

Okay SOL

by

Like any other Slice of Life anime, this show relies heavily on the characters to drive the story. The jokes don’t really change at all through the show and Its quite repetitive after a while. You get a lot of conversation that aren’t funny, a lot of random discussion happen in each episode where they might throw in a reference or two in it, one you might have with a friend(s) in High School. Then it repeats again until the episode is over and then it starts again in the next episode. That is pretty much the summary of the entire show if you ask me. There isn’t any real character development in the show, the characters remain the same as they were when they started the show. The amount of reference is bananas to say the least, most of them will go over your head if you haven’t the slightest clue to what they are talking about. The only highlight of the show will be the amazing job the seiyuus did on the voicing the characters.

Cute and hilarious

Did you love Azumanga Dioh? Are you a fan of Nichijou? If so, dont miss this. A group of friends daily life is full of so much cuteness and hillarity to keep you amused and popping stitches from start to finish. Even the post episode skits are fantastic.

The show starts a little slow voice acting does make up for it. Animation thus pick up with art style and gets funnier. Compare to most slice of life anime I will start here.

What's the best way to eat a choco cornet?

Lucky Star is a great show. Unlike other SOL, Lucky Star does not concern itself with a weird niche of society or club. Lucky Star is about a group of high school girls who engage in mid-00s otaku and gamer culture. Fortunately (probably), the mid-00s was one of the best eras commercially and artistically in that field. The show delves into discussing and parodying hot-blooded anime, otaku foibles, romance tropes, anime tropes, mmo life, etc. It's wonderful, funny and cute, buy it.
