About Liselotte and Witch's Forest Manga Volume 1

Liselotte and Witch's Forest Volume 1 features story and art by Natsuki Takaya.

Despite being completely hopeless at endeavors like farming and cooking, Liselotte, a young lady of noble birth and guardian to twins Alto and Anna, picks up and moves to a remote land. At the easternmost reaches of her new home lies a forest where it's said witches roam. When Lise one day finds herself at the receiving end of an attack by one such witch, she's saved by the sudden appearance of a young man named Engetsu. Though they're strangers, Engetsu is remarkably similar to someone she already knows...?

A Great First Volume!

by -

From the writer of Fruits Basket! I was super excited to try this series out and I am not disappointed in the slightest!! Liselotte has been 'exiled' to this house to the east to the east to the east. From the beginning the story presents mysteries (Why is she in this forest when she's 'high born'? Why are these two children with her? etc.) and preceeds to answer some of them and leave you with many more. I can't wait until the next volume comes out. I think the best part is that you can tell it was drawn by the same artist as Fruits Basket, but unlike other series where the characters all look the same, she does a wonderful job of making them just different enough that you can say "Oh, Liselotte looks a little like Tohru" but not get confused while reading it.

A Beautiful Start

This is a beautiful first volume, but I would expect nothing less from the author of Fruits Basket. I'm so happy this manga is being released and I can't wait to see where this story goes.
