Local high school prodigy Rintaro Magami's daily life is pretty boring, though not for lack of things to do. He's just...done everything already. In order to kill some time, he deliberately teams up with Luna, the most good-for-nothing girl around, and enters a competition to decide the next successor of the legendary King Arthur. But there's just one problem... Luna pawned off the holy sword Excalibur!

It's not Fate/Stay Night, I swear!

Arthur is based off the old John Sheep tales of the really crummy guy everyone likes anyways. Other than that's it's the old FSN script. I read the book in almost a single sitting for the plot alone and found it pretty gripping.
The prose is bad though. Large explanations cut the plot off at the knees, and LOOOOONNNNNNNNNNG words are long (see page 37, it's almost unreadable). Also, (LOL) because we can. The MC is somehow OP and a pathetic edgelord in one, which would be more interesting if he could put together as an intelligent a string of thoughts as the author suggests he's capable.
I'd avoid this if it isn't your cup of tea. It probably is, though.
