I bought this two years ago ,I noticed that one of DVD disk has a defect. I called up the company and they told me that they would give me another replacement DVD disc instead of the entire DVD boxed set.

Sub-par video quality ruins a great looking box set

by -

This is a great looking 10 disc box set, outer chipboard box with 2 normal sized dvd cases (5 discs in each case). If you're a Tezuka fan, it's great to have all 52 episodes in one set.

Overall, however, it's disappointing to not have Japanese audio with English subtitles as an option. The English dub is really strange but not the worst I've heard. But the most disappointing thing about this set is the video quality. It is very compressed looking, with constant digital artifacting especially noticeable in the solid color backgrounds. This poor video quality was unexpected since the aesthetic presentation of the box and my experience with other Nozomi releases were all great. It's a double edged sword...I love owning this series even if it's only the dubbed version, but the video quality is so sub-par that I'm not sure I'll actually watch it very often.
