About Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple Season 2 Blu-ray

Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple Season 2 contains episodes 26-50 of the anime directed by Hajime Kamegaki.

Kenichi’s a lot tougher than he used to be. Living in a dojo with six martial arts masters will do that to you. But thanks to his reputation as a skilled fighter, the guy’s got more problems than ever. The goons in Ragnarok are gunning for him in a big way, specially the gang’s leaders: the Eight Fists, a dangerously unpredictable crew known to play dirty. Luckily, Kenichi’s got allies like Miu by his side. She’s as tough as she is hot, and even if he still hasn’t scored with the blonde brawler, her very presence makes Kenichi train harder to be the best. Yeah, he’s come a long way - but Kenichi’s fight to be the mightiest disciple isn’t over yet.

Where Love is Indeed a Battlefield

by -

When I read that the production staff did extensive research on 'mixed martial arts' and featured Kenpo, Karate, Ju Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Kosaka (Ninjutsu) Style in this anime, it's no wonder that this show has such good battle sequences throughout the series. Yes, there's that Furinji Style by Hayato, but that seems the only one based on fantasy.

I also liked that the battles showcased that speed, defense, and endurance play a huge difference too. And things get really good when some other girls begin to have interest in Kenichi, revealing the jealous side of Miu's personality...oh boy! Then discover if Kenichi will learn to become a true 'Sei Ki Fighter' of calm/peace, or fall into rage/anger that may threaten his quest to become the Mightiest Disciple.

Lastly, there's also an eleven episode OVA that Discotek hasn't licensed yet that continues the final story arc of Miu & Kenichi. So I hope they pick this final series up soon; meantime, enjoy this in 1080p / 4:3 format.
