About Kandagawa Jet Girls Blu-ray

Kandagawa Jet Girls contains episodes 1-12 of the anime, plus the OVA, directed by Hiraku Kaneko.

Rin Namiki's greatest ambition is to follow in her late mother's footsteps and compete in Kandagawa Jet Racing, where teams of girls on jet skis race while firing high-powered water guns to slow their competitors' jets (and blow off their clothing!). But since there's no jet racing in Rin's remote fishing village, that means moving, all by herself, to a girls' school in faraway Tokyo!

Meanwhile, Misa Aoi dreamed of becoming a great player, but those ambitions floundered until Rin transferred to her school, displaying astonishing skill for a newcomer. Is it fate? Now they "only" have to resurrect their school's Jet Riding Club, endure brutal training, and face some seriously skilled rivals… but even the toughest tasks are easier when you're doing something you love with someone who's quickly becoming far more than just a friend!

Fun anime that is similar to the PS4 game plot

by -

This series is full of Fan service so if thats a turn off, turn away. Its fun and follows the story from the game on PS4 and acts as a fleshed out retelling of the same story. Its very well done and the premise is a ton of fun so I highly recommend for fans of fan service anime and people who played the game.

Great for fans of the game! Solid watch for everyone else

First let me say, I played the game before watching the anime and as far as an adaptation goes, this isn't bad by any means. I honestly enjoyed watching this from start to finish and if you're a fan service guy or gal like me, then you will definitely enjoy this!
If I had to gripe about ANYTHING with this release, it's the dub. And it absolutely pains me to say because I watch way more dub than sub shows, but I in no good conscience can say this dub is good. More specifically it was only bad because of how they went with Rin's voice, I just COULD NOT DEAL, but if you can look past one irritating voice , then you will still enjoy this very much, the sub ,of course, is good as well I say its definitely worth a buy!

Keep cruising foreward!

Okay, where do I begin? Well, after watching the show, I found it interesting, crazy and entertaining, in a good way. Fan service aside, watching throughout the series got me wondering on how good the story was. Yes, there were some sad moments in the features and you feel like your heart goes out to the main character. It's heart aching, I know. You understand. This anime isn't bad, at all. It's actually pretty good in my opinion. When it comes to the silliness, watching this anime couldn't be more fun than a barrel monkeys. Absolute A in my review. I wish to see a Season 2, eventually. and see what happens next. "Keep on soaring ahead, Rin and Misa!" "Cheers!"

Wait for a sale

I'm a huge sports anime fan so I tend to buy just about any animes that deals with any type of sports and this was no different. I figured this would have some fan service, which I don't mind, and it sure did. Overall story is good but could had been better had this been a 24 - 26 episode series. As it is, it cuts a lot of corners to try to tell the story properly. I would had loved to see some fleshed out jet racing that took up an entire episode but we're stuck with just clips of what could had been. I also wished they left out the poorly rendered CG racing sequences as that throws everything off and makes it look super cheap. Overall, a good series if you could get it on sale. 3½ stars as I wished they had more jet racing and none of the CG. Never heard of the game but I still enjoyed the series.
