I heart Kamen Rider Black on blu-ray!

I’m very pleased with the Kamen Rider Black complete series on Blu-ray! I own the series on DVD that was distributed by Manga International Inc. in the early 2000s. Although I was happy to have it, the video quality wasn’t the greatest. This new HD restoration by Discotek Media looks excellent! The DVD quality isn’t even comparable.
In addition, the subtitles are a definite improvement overall. One caveat is that the English subtitle translations of song lyrics that appear during fighting sequences are distracting. They interrupt the flow of the action. This is especially noticeable in fight scenes with characters speaking, where you have subtitles for dialogue and song lyrics on screen at the same time.
Despite the minor subtitle critique, I in no way regret this purchase. As I said, the HD video restoration is wonderful, the sound quality’s brilliant, and the special features are great. I highly recommend Kamen Rider Black on Blu-ray!
