Not particularly good, but has its moments

This show is another niche one. It starts out strong with a bleak opening, and then suddenly drops us into a post-apocalyptic world where the main character travels around fighting old comrades while accompanied by some wonderfully snarky AIs. This results in quite a few fun scenes and their banter and later growth is probably the highlight of the show. The action and other characters are, well, not. Generic characters and weak action make for a plodding middle part before things pick up again for a decent and less-standard finale.
While I liked the non-standard beginning and end, and the AIs added more than a little charm, it's still a mostly generic series. As such, I would only recommend it based on individual preferences.

I just finished watching this series and all I have to say is, is that it was terrible! The action was lacking, the characters were awful when then weren't being annoying (the "hero" constantly crying over his girlfriend didn't help matters either), and when the story wasn't being bafflingly stupid it was just confusing! If you're planning on watching this series, do yourself a favor and don't!
