Let's go to the jungle!

Jungle De Ikou! has some stuff going for it, but it kinda falls flat. The visuals are what you expect from 90s anime, as is the music. But you can never go wrong with the sounds of cicadas. The story doesn’t really get too crazy. The first two episodes set up the characters and plot and the third episode pretty much cuts to the end of the story. Just when you think it’s just beginning, it pulls out the final climax and ends, which is a shame, cause this show does have some interesting ideas. Having a magical girl type show that comes from tribal cultures is one I haven’t seen before. The kind of perverted and slapstick humor is of its time. It’s fine, I’ve just seen it a lot recently. If you’ve ever seen Jewel Bem Hunter Lime, these two ovas are different, but have similar aspects. The special features included are artwork, sketches, and trailers. In all, these ovas are alright. It does have it’s moments but it just ends too soon. 3.5/5
