One of my favorite starts to a manga!

by -

Jujutsu Kaisen was the manga to get me into collecting, the covers are all amazing, and the illustrations are among the best. This volume in particular really made me want to see more of Yuta. You can see how Yuta is slowly developing as a character throughout this volume, towards the end we get to see how deeply Yuta values his friends. In order to not spoil anything I will just finish my review with this, this volume is very exciting and it is a must read if you are getting into the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

Read before you watch the movie!

A really cool and decently paced prologue to the JJK series. Characters are really charming and it should be read before a CERTAIN flashback backstory arc for better context!

Cursed energy

Great read and intro to the jujutsu world. Introduces some characters you might already know if you saw season 1 like maki etc. Man she was lowkey thicker in this volume 😆 and like the jujutsu movie. This will hype ppl up because of the current manga arc in jujutsu where yuta makes an appearance.

Definitely recommend!

It shipped quickly and arrived on time. The quality is good, perfect for my Jujutsu Kaisen collection! I decided to start with vol 0 and it was no mistake. Although just a couple chapters, it was engaging and a great set up for the rest of the series.

Manga to Movie, A Love Story Worth Reading

by

I've been obsessed with Jujutsu Kaisen for a while. Started with the anime, then I jumped into the manga, and I'm a sucker for prequels too so this hit the spot. The tension, the character development seen from characters from the original storyline, everything was exquisite. I read the manga around 5 times in preparation for the movie, and it was worth every read.

Great Action, Great Prequel

This volume is quite different from the rest of the series in terms of theming, but the rest is just what you would expect from Akutami-sensei. The action scenes all feel very "alive" and the story has a lot of heart. The protagonist in this prequel is also really likeable, so through all the struggles he has, he makes you root for him the whole way.
