Awesomely unexpected anime full of love, swords, and lots of ninjas!
by John
I kept seeing the previews for this anime and thought it looked ridiculous and stupid. I'm not sure what caused me to watch, maybe another review at the time, or perhaps I wanted something ridiculous and stupid. It turned out to be beyond my expectations - in a good way.
The funny moments are counterpointed by serious ones and 'stupid' it is not at all. There are over the top moments of comedy, but they work within the story and I found myself really enjoying its funny side and tearing up on its serious side. If you are still on the fence about watching this, then dig in and maybe you'll find this a wholly entertaining anime as I do.
The general story is good enough to watch again and again as much for itself as for some subtle moments that are foreshadowed.
