So Bizarre Its Amazing

by

This is one bizarre manga, it is packed with things you'd never expect they would say or do which makes it one of the least cliche and best manga.
The fights are amazing and the poses are so awesome you just want to mimic them.
Once you've read this manga you'll come back doing poses and saying quotes from JoJo's.
Even if you've read 1,000 Manga, JoJo's is impossible to forget, its the king of classics.
However Part 1:Phantom Blood isn't all that great. its still awesome but later parts are what makes the series what it is so even if you're a little interested after reading this, KEEP READING.
Part 2 is one of the best arcs in Manga so if you can get past the prologue which is Part 1 then you'll fall in love with it

It's Jojo!

by

One of the best manga ever written starts here. Don't miss out on probably the most bizarre experience of your life.

The Start of a Saga

by

These Jojos books are printed on high quality paper with an excellent hardcover binding. They are the perfect representation of this legendary adventure. I highly recommend them to anybody that is interested in an older, but excellent adventure story.

The JoJo that started it all

by -

This is such a beautiful hardcover book containing the beginning of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It is true that the first part of JoJo is the least interesting, but it is still a great story that continues to build and get better and better!

8 parts to the story and it keeps getting better..

With each and every volume that gets released, the story gets more and more bizarre..

8 parts to the story and ongoing, Araki is still at the top of his game.

Amazing

by

Might be my favorite manga. Certainly among them. The drawings are beautiful and grotesque. The characters are memorable and there are so many moments in this and the rest of Phantom Blood to shock and amaze.

Humble Shounen Beginnings

by -

Jonathan Joestar has a pretty cushy life. Spoiled little rich kid whose biggest anxiety is learning how to be a proper gentleman. Enter Dio Brando, the stylin', profilin', kiss-stealin', wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun....

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a manga that gets weirder with every volume, for over 110 volumes. It all started here, an ersatz Fist of the North Star but with vampires.

Taken on its own, Phantom Blood is sibling rivalry mutating into an ultimate showdown of good vs. evil. Volume 1 here is mainly the sibling rivalry part, interesting the reader in the characters before they become superhuman. Dio's transformation remains one of my favorite scenes in the entire manga.

Anime fans get one of the few missing scenes in this volume, some backstory of Jonathan and his faithful dog Danny.

The book itself is gorgeous, like every JoJonium. The enlarged artwork really pops. Bonus interviews with Araki are a welcome addition.

JoJonium Hardcover Volume 1

This hardcover contain beautiful colored pages in the Prologue. The book reads right to left and keeps the Japanese characters for sound effects.

This is the very beginning of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. We see our very first JoJo - Jonathan Joestar. He is living a classical rich life until one day Dio Brando moves in. Dio Brando makes it his mission to make JoJo's life a living hell. You won't get too many bizarre things happening in this volume but the poses and quotes are very fitting for this series and this particular time period. Would definitely recommend any JoJo fan to start their adventure with this book.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1-3

by

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has got to be one of the best Shonen Jump titles. It doesn't follow the trends, it sets them. Full of action, Adventure and humor, this is one of the few manga I collect. The artwork for the first three parts is beautiful, and the storytelling is fun and straightforward. This was a series that was diverse before diversity became mandatory. I thank Viz for publishing the first three parts of Jojo as hardcover, because a great series like this needs to be preserved. While this review is under the first volume of Phantom Blood, I am reviewing the series as a whole. Great manga, and the current anime is great, and the best when it comes to adaptations. If you like attractive, buff men, action, Adventure, a rather weird sense of humor, this manga is for you. If you're also a fan of Shonen Jump, read this manga. This is the series that many later artists took influenc from, and you can see it in other SJ manga.

How Bizarre...

by

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the most unique, amazing, and, well, Bizarre stories I’ve read or watched ever, ant the one where it all started is extremely fun to read
The art is unique and stylish, the characters are solid, and more pages are colored than ever before all in a nice hardcover format.

The only issue I have with part one is that it pales in comparison to future parts, as it was released when the Fist of the North Star was popular, and somewhat seems like if FotNS was made by a crazy person. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, but it could push some away to one of the greatest anime/manga series of all time

All in all, it’s a great time, and gets so much better later, and is something anyone trying to find something strange should read, or pretty much anyone who wants to ride a giant rollercoaster ride of weirdness.

The start of a bizarre adventure

Jojo is amazing and the cover for this volume looks cool if you like jojo get it

Different yet unique.

by

Jojos is by far the weirdest manga I've read, which is why I'm so drawn to it. Not only is the art amazing and the covers really good quality, but the story is so strange yet addicting. Everything just kind of happens and you don't question it, but I think everyone should read for themselves how great Jojos is. It's truly an epic series, read it!!

The Origin of a Legend

by -

First off, I am going to say that Phantom Blood is far from the series' strongest saga. However, if you love the JoJo anime, you will appreciate how much more complex the manga gets than the anime. While Part 1 of the anime feels rushed and weak, the manga is great at explaining the story and origin of the series that we all know and love today. If you have never seen JoJo's, definitely start here and give it a shot. Also, these hardcover editions are of an amazing quality and look very sleek on the shelf.

Starts off pretty interesting and ends on a cliffhanger

by

So this release of Jojo I believe has a better format. It covers all of volume 1 of the original release in japan and the first few chapters of volume 2. Where it ends is actually a good point that makes you want to read more. There are a few fully colored pages in the beginning and a lot of partially colored pages colored in shades of oranges which looks nice, but it eventually goes back to the usual black and white which is fine. Overall, it's well formatted, well written and can keep your attention if you are actually interested in starting Jojo.
