Everything you'd want in a second volume

The story hits its stride here, as Bell hires Lily, a Supporter (think Lydia from Skyrim, if she were a hobbit) who brings a lot of emotional baggage and may not have Bell's best interests at heart...
This volume goes further in exploring this world, showing some darker sides of adventuring and some negative examples of "Familias" to contrast the kind Bell and Hestia. We also further expand the excellent female cast. To the author's credit, a harem situation is completely avoided; these characters have their own pasts, goals, desires, and lives that include but don't revolve around Bell. The newest one, Lily, is a great character, and her character arc in this volume is a great one to follow. If the first volume caught your interest, this one should hook you.
