Must it on the your corner of the world

by

What does struggle means?... How human kind can last on the struggle?... What means being alive?. This, and other questions are discussed in this beatiful movie.
Description of the ongoing life situations puts you on the face of WWII and what does war do to people. All for the people that is behind the fight, for the regular folks. And how, as time goes by, everyone faces difficulties. Some losing more than getting. A reminder that we face reality in their corners of the world

Art is surreal, charming and pretty hand-made, no photorealistic stuff here, just charm and warm animation. Dont expect modern animation techniques here, and enjoy everything. Specially music. OST is truly briliant

A Beautiful Historical Drama

by

Set on the home front during the Second World War, this is a beautiful and valuable look at the traditional Japanese life at that time and how the war upended it. In that vein, I hold it up with Twenty-Four Eyes, which is one of the best such dramas from any country.

This film is not without faults, with the art and animation giving rise to frequent shots of characters with a rather goofy pose and expression, and this is occasionally distracting. But beyond that, it has few flaws of note, just a wonderful, relatable story with understandable characters trying to act normal in an abnormal world.

For anyone who's interested in history, Japanese culture, or just a very well made drama film, this film is a gold mine.

Historical film that shows us that no matter what, we still can move on if we try

A must have, beautiful art, grounded characters, powerful message. There's real moments of the aftermaths of war but I still would recommend it for everyone. Its definitely and "eye opener".
