I had a lot of fun.

This story is perfect if you are searching for romance, comedy and a little of action, it has a little bit of all. I really enjoy it, specially seeing the the interaction between characters. It might not be a very complex plot, but you have a lot of fun reading it and the art is beautiful.

If you are curious you should give it a try.

Nice take on Villainess Isekai genre

by -

Typical short premise is that our female protagonists gets isekai-ed into an otome game as the villainess, Aileen. Who, you guessed it, is the (ex-)fiancé of the crown prince, and is expelled from bullying the game’s protagonist (who the crown prince fell in love with). Not wanting to go through any of the bad ends that “triggers” after the “expulsion event” she decides to romance the game’s villain, the demon king Claude.

After the typical school scene the rest shows Aileen working in her plan of avoiding the bad ends (winning Claude over lol). The series itself isn’t too plot heavy (being only a few vols), but it’s fun and has a variety of characters that hold their weight (the world isn’t treated as a game).

Overall a great short series if you want to start getting into the shoujo villainess iseki genre, but don’t want to commit to anything on-going/long. Really love this series and I’m so excited that it was officially translated to English. Aileen is so cool~

Deja Vu in another world

by -

This is a bit of a tweak to the new popular reborn-as-the-villain trope. Aileen suddenly has vague recollections of a former life where she was sickly and played a game that is very like her life now. But it's not exact, it's like trying to remember a dream, and her life is a lot more full than any RPG, with more characters and motivations. All the choices that led to her being viewed as a villain are very understandable, and the heroes aren't as virtuous as they present themselves to be. It's interesting to watch her try to make the best of her bad storyline, and since she's working with people rather than wooden NPCs there's a limit to how much she can control any scenario. This is a villainess that's easy to root for.

Hilarious Pursuit of a New Man

by -

Story following our Villainess female character with a bit of memory from her past life about the game that is now her life. She is pursuing our gorgeous male lead relentlessly as she tries to avoid her doom that starts with getting disowned because of her terrible ex fiancé. Rooting for a girl to stick it to her ex and win in her own romance. Full of comedy that has me laughing into coughing fits. I look forward to getting the second book to see more.

The best version of this title

This adaptation does a much better job at telling the story the original author wrote. The quick pacing trims a lot of the needlessness from the story and helps to better setup locations. The artwork is wonderful and despite a few hiccups in page flow makes for an over all enjoyable read.

A hidden gem

by -

I've been trying to avoid stories about being isekai-ed ever since they became trendy because they seem overrated most of the time. I happen to pick up this series just because I've been looking for something new to read. And I did not regret a single second of doing so.

I really like the fact that Aileen is a powerful woman but at the same time, has weaknesses. She was portrayed as confident, proud, and tenacious. However, her flaws and worries were also shown. As for King Claude, he was first established as someone that distrusts humans but later on, it was explained why. His gentle side also made me love him even more.

Overall, the story is perfect for me. It is perfect for a short and light read. No unnecessary drama, but you also won't feel like something is missing (except wishing to see more sweet moments of the characters).
