A very unnerving take on the genre

Don't look at this series and think it's just another villainess Isekai much the same as My Live As A Villainess or Formerly The Fallen Daughter of the Duke: there is something very creepy happening in the corners of this series. This volume is the most explicit yet in its psychological horror--I honestly think the creators did a good job slowly building up the mood, though I'm worried that it means the audience for this series might not get this far. The mystery of what's really going on is getting more explicit and I am biting my nails to find out what is really happening. I feel so bad for the protagonist who is just trying to quietly survive with this froth of obsession and underhanded intrigue all around her: at the moment my ideal ending is all the 'love interests' get eaten by bears and she gets to go and live quietly in a nunnery.
