Outstanding Yuri Romance

by -

Outstanding! The entire book is one story. It's a very adult story, but not as in smut. There are plenty of sexy scenes, but they aren't why you read this one. Two women growing together with very reasonable events. None of the outlandish or childish things that smutty romance stories always seem to have. I've only just gotten this and I've re-read it 2 times!

Good, but the one-shot format limits the story potential

by -

I thought this was good for a one-shot. The main girls were interesting and it was enjoyable to watch them develop as both individuals and a couple. The art is simple, but easy to follow. I much prefer a slowburn, so this wasn’t exactly for me.

It is, however, one of few English-translated yuri manga that features adults in a relationship as opposed to high schoolers.

Melancholic and unapologetic

A lot of yuri manga is saccharine and light. This one was the opposite; it deals with harsh truths. Though the ending is ultimately hopeful, it was a little too melodramatic and intense for being just a one-shot in my opinion.

The art was OK. The story hits all the appropriate beats but I would rather spend my time reading other yuri manga that is slightly less serious & more fun. Good for someone who wants a more serious (and some would argue, realistic) take on the genre.

Outstanding and engaging

An amazing Yuri Manga about how a relationship goes from an illicit affair to a true relationship. This is a single more adult oriented story that handles the relationship very realistically but it's biggest flaw is that it is a single short story so it doesn't have the room to develop as much as it needs so it feels a bit rushed but I highly recommend it and think this would have been brilliant if expanded

Cute WLW manga!

The mangaka does a good job of not relying so much on tropes. Each leading character is fleshed out very well and their relationship blooms over time realistically. Highly recommend if you want to read a quick WLW story!

Not what I expected

by -

Initially I thought I would hate this as one of the characters is cheating on her husband and that's usually an instant no-go for me (I had assumed "office affair" was said as a reference to a fling, not an actual affair), but the story unfolded in a way I found pretty favorable and dealt with some heavy questions in a pretty realistic and reasonable manner, although I do think some aspects seem a little sparse and others a little rushed, especially at the end. Have to also call out the good quality paper and printing used in the book itself as it really makes the artists simple and high contrast style pop. Overall enjoyed it quite a lot more than I was expecting.
