A low light of the series IMO

Honestly by the 2nd to last chapter of this volume I was thinking of dropping the series. It was getting very boring for me and the parents seemed too strange for otherwise normal teenagers, but the final chapter has a nice cliffhanger so I'll get vol. 5.

Things Finally Coming to Light

I was expecting some of the previous conflicts to be mulled over just a bit more but to my surprise it wasn't. A pleasant change comes to Miyamura and other developmental surprises await Ishikawa and even Sakura!

Horimiya proves that it can tell a slice of life/romance story without the clichés of shojo stories (like the introduction of a new character as a plot device to sabotage the main characters' relationship; SIGH).

this is getting even better than i thought. loved the first volume and since then it has just gotten better and better. i love the two working together and growing up to come out of their own weird little shells.

Insecurities, Family and Relationships

More characters introduced and they’re wild and just as enjoyable as the main two. I’ve been binge reading this series, and this one was filled with laughs, sweetness and it was very cute. Feelings are evolving!
