It's just so "Bloody" good ;D

Hellsing Ultimate is a nice re-imagining of the Original Hellsing. with a fresh new Gothic look, excellent Sub & Dub(recommend Dub BTW), awesome soundtrack (though I do miss the old opening), and more blood than you could ever imagine they'd cram in there. though there are definitely some low points, it's a solid anime for those who enjoy vampires.

oh and it has Alucard

The real Hellsing anime. (Don't think bad of the original, it didn't have a chance)

Not a reimagining of the original series, but a do-over. The first anime started before the manga concluded. This version of Hellsing is, start to finish, Hellsing, mostly mirroring the manga. The original had to come up with their own end-villain because the manga author went on a multi-year break at one point.

In some ways, this "correct" version seems more absurd, but the source material was. Some characters (Father Anderson) get more depth in this version.

Overall a great series, and does a great job of showing off a true bad-ass "hero". Of sorts.
