Unwieldy & Unapologetic
by BluExocet -
First and foremost, this is a capital-T Tome. It's bright, heavy, and unwieldy. Unapologetically obscene, which is perfect for Hellsing.
Printed on the 7x10 page format as the series was during it's run in Young King OURS, the details are great. Hirano's art has always been striking and bold. On the sharp, bright, acid-free, paper it looks so amazing. A wildly different experience seeing the artwork in stark blacks and whites than on old yellowing pages. The art grabs you; I can hear Yasushi Ishii's soundtrack as I read it.
Unfortunately the bonus stories Crossfire 1-3, the omakes, and whatever the single page rant thing was, are not included here. Maybe Dark Horse will put Crossfire and The Dawn in the final omnibus, but who knows.
If this is your first time or millionth time reading Hellsing, this is the edition to read it in.
A must have, but don't get rid of your old volumes yet.

I don't know why I didn't realize how large this book was, but it's seriously massive. Love being able to see the art in a larger format. Paper quality is great and, while I'm sure it's cheap to add, the bookmark ribbon is always a nice little plus with these larger books.
Two things are missing though. One is the bonus story/Author blurbs like another reviewer said. The other is the cover arts. One of the big reasons I bought this is I lent Hellsing volume one to tons of people in middle school. To the point that both covers came off. There's still hope that they'll be included in the last one though. Might be a cost saving effort to keep all the color pages in on book.
Good quality for the book, average quality for the content.

The quality of the book build is excellent. The content itself is just average. I might have liked this as a child, but reading it as an adult felt pretty underwhelming.
A good read

I really liked this series and the characters in it. Very dark while also being fun at the same time. If you're interested in vampires and/or gruesome action I would recommend checking it out.
Excellent Omnibus
by Brendon
In terms of Hellsing itself, it is fantastic supernatural horror/action that often goes way over the top and at times almost feels like too much - recommended for any vampire action fan. This first volume introduces the main characters and slowly builds up to a grand reveal of the antagonists and their plan.
For this release - this omnibus is fantastic. As others have remarked, the lack of any omake or covers at all is disappointing, but the clean layout matches well with the crisply printed, huge pages printed on high quality paper. The bright red leather cover is also very well done and makes it stand out in my collection.
