Ends good but too quickly
by Brendon -
As expected I'm a bit disappointed that this had to wrap up here - this volume hits the important notes and then condenses time quite a bit in places to get things wrapped up, but a lot seems to have happened in that time I would've loved to have seen. That said, it does a great job of making the ending satisfying, despite it's condensed time frame.
A short but sweet, coda

Spanning only 3 volumes long, Hello Melancholic is on the shorter side of Yuri series, each volume containing 172-186 pages. It's a real shame that this series didn't expand further but, despite it's short length, Yayoi Ohsawa not only sets the pace perfectly, but he also wraps up the story perfectly as well. The art style is phenomenal, characters are very expressive and the backgrounds set the scene nicely. This is definitely a must-own series for yuri fans. The only problem I have with this final volume is that it didn't include the extra 40 page winter chapter that the author made.
