About Hana Yori Dango DVD

Also known as Boys Over Flowers, Hana Yori Dango The Complete Collection features all 51 episodes of the anime and the movie. It also includes Japanese with English subtitles for the TV series and movie plus an English dub on all 51 TV episodes.

Tsukushi Makino just wants to get through high school. That's all. And that might even be easy, if she weren't attending Eitoku High, a school that caters to the kids of the rich and the elite. Coming from a poor family, Tsukushi sticks out like a weed to the rest of the students at Eitoku, and it only gets worse when her friend Yuuki accidentally incurs the wrath of Tsukasa, the leader of the F4, the four most wealthy and handsome men at her school.

Shielding Yuuki from Tsukasa only earns Tsukushi a red card, a signal to the rest of the student body that Tsukushi is an open target for any and all kinds of bullying. However, Tsukushi isn't about to give up on her goal of graduating, and her fierce determination to stand up for herself just might have unexpected consequences within the hearts of the F4!

I really love a good love story and this one is everything and more. First the guys are called F4 it will explain in the show and how young love and school go hand in hand . It is fun to watch you well cry and laugh through out the whole animated series. I hope you like it as much as I do.

A Classic

The art may be a little (ok maybe a lot) aged due to it being produced in the 90's, but this isn't a classic without good cause. It's manga is actually the best selling shojo of all time.

This series is in it's core a drama, but with a lot a funny moments and a strong heroine that makes this story about the rich guy suddenly falling for the poor girl who stood up to him, unlike many other stories that attempt this. It's not poor girl realizing how handsome and kinda sweet the rich guy now seems, it's the realistic resistance to the rich guy and going through the motions of different love and emotions to finally get to that point where it feels well-deserved and makes sense that makes it great. Although the trials the heroine goes through at times is a bit brutal, it's a great series with a tough leading lady to endure it all, a lovable cast of side characters, and a main character who just can't get his phrases right. It's one of my personal favorites

Best Anime for romance.

by -

I've been watching this show over and over again and i still cant get over how amazing it is. I love this show so much much and was so happy to get it on dvd. Boys over flowers to me is the best manga/anime to show what true love and romance should be like. Not everyone is looking for a man to save them maybe we just want to find someone who can respect us and love us without all that you need me mentality. I hope they bring the manga here so i can buy it all.

An Older Romantic Drama

by -

There's a reason why I rated the series as three stars instead of four or five stars. It's an older shojo title that actually took its time to develop the character's, relationships and interactions with each other. BUT! There's always a but isn't there? I can't in all honesty recommend this title unless you like titles like Say I Love You, My Little Monster, Kimi no Todoke or Hana Kimi. I know I'm stretching it with that last title but you'll only enjoy this title if you're a fan of romantic dramas.

An Older Romantic Drama

While I do enjoy a good romance title, I can't recommend this title unless you're a fan of titles like Say I Love You, My Little Monster, Kimi no Todoke, Hana Kimi (I don't think this one was ever animated) or even Nana. I know I'm stretching it with Hana Kimi and Nana but I think you can only like this title if you're a fan of romantic dramas. By the way, this is definitely an older title. When you're watching it, you can definitely see it's an older title compared to some of the other titles I listed. BUT! If you shojo doesn't bother you, then I would say give this title a chance.
