Something quick, spooky and science-y
by Konta ToraTaka
I was very happy with it! The hard cover is that soft to the touch sort of lamination and the strip with GYO in it is shiny and slick. Unlike the cover, the spine is a bright white with a blood splatter, making this book look REALLY cool on my shelf. I was really happy this wasn't a sleeve cover as those tend to get horribly damaged over time. On the inside you get a full colored image at the beginning and end of the book. I was also surprised, at the end of the manga they included two short horror stories by the author. One was very short and didn't make much sense but the other was very spooky and really caught my attention. I'd really like to see more of Junji Ito.
I was able to finish it within a day between chores, errands and work.
The book arrived damaged and in a VERY damaged almost opened box but I would heavily suggest this beautiful manga to anyone who likes horror, action, with a few spinkles of science for it all to pull together. Its really a great read.
Odd, creepy, and a bit grotesque

Gyo as a story is not perfect but it is enjoyable and was a treat to read something that had a good mix of horror, comedy, and startling imagery. The art is amazing and really shows how Junji ito distinguishes himself from other mangaka.
As for the Book quality, it is amazing. Very modest size, and the cream colored pages go together perfectly with the manga and give a nice weight to each page.
You'll be a Walking Fish to the Bookstore
by ChainedDeath
A very heavy hard cover of a two volume manga by the great Junji Ito. The complete thriller, horror story of thr walking fish nightmare is collected along with two short stories. An excellent part of thr deluxw Junji Ito collect, which includes Tomie and Uzumaki.

The shipping was great, came in perfect condition. As for the manga love the story, art, and author.
Fish and plague terror!!!
by Jean Franco
A combination of science and a fish infestation might not sound really attractive however Junji Ito knows how to pull things. This is one of his largest stories, a combination of 2 regular-sized mangas into a hardcover version. A creepy and spooky way to portrait the fish taking control of the world. An eccentric story that catches you on
Good Read (:

Although the story was predictable I did love the style of the manga.
One of Junji Ito's best

It had been years since I read any of Gyo. I originally had the first half in paperback but never came across the second part.
I like that this collection is hardcover and all in one book. Really nice look and feel.
Classic Ito horror. Interesting story development that manages to not only be creepy but occasionally a little funny while still being creepy.
I haven't read everything from Ito but would put this in the realm of quality and entertainment as Uzumaki.
An incredibly disturbing, yet well thought out plot.

This manga is incredible in many regards, and exceeds all my expectations. The art is eerie and meshes well with the story to create an overall feeling of "Something is very wrong here", but without shoving it in your face.
The plot does a fantastic job of maintaining a proper plot without creating many generic stereotypes. I highly recommend this for any Junji Ito fans or even just horror manga fans.
A favorite

Junji Ito is one of my favorite authors and artists of all time. Not only is the main story Gyo amazing, but so is one of the short stories at the end of the book. The story I'm referring to is "The enigma of amigara fault". I don't know how but that story is the most fascinating and also the most terrifying story I've ever read.
