Don't judge this series by its cover

Whatever kind of show this looks like, whatever kind of games it spawned, four-fifths of the show is the best mafia anime I've ever seen. Key to the show is the relationship between Brandon and Harry. Led by Harry's ambition, they rise to the top of the Millennion crime syndicate until Harry's ambition puts them at odds. The characters are interesting and well-drawn, the score is moody and, if you are the type who prefers dubs, the Bang Zoom dub is well done.
It would be a Grave mistake to let this one escape your sights.

This show is definitely worth Owning.
Overall Rating 3.5/5
The show begins with some small-time street tuffs Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowell fighting other gangs. But, they soon work up to the highest ranks of the city’s major mafia syndicate.
That’s the first half… Then second half is a “then times passes” and Grave, avoiding spoilers is a character’s name, has for fight off monsters… Both halves of the show have their own charm but the 2nd half feels a lot more like the video game source material. Sharp gun fights rule the day as mafia politics rule the night here. It’s definitely worth the buy with the added incentive of the re-release on blu-ray.
Theme Songs 3/5
This series opening instrumental… okay. I liked the ending theme, it was solid and fit the show well.
Ending 4/5
NO spoilers, the end was alright… it’s about what you might expect from maybe even the beginning.
