This is a package of short 3D films from many gundam series.
Great visual flair with not a lot of story.
longest 2 hours ever

The film is short most chapters run 5 min. I like Gundam the mech's are cool the battles awesome the story's deep. The description of the dvd makes you think side stories neet we will get extra info thats cool. The reality is boredom. It is small skits of watching a Gundam fly around for 5 to 10 min with technical gibberish apparently a pilot speaking battle lingo. No story build up or explanations sometimes something might blow up. The only skit that was interesting was the double zeta and it still wasnt much. I might be nice if it cost less then 5 maybe less then 3 dollars. Save your money and use it to towards any Gundam series available but dont waste it on this.
Not for everyone

This dvd is a collection of short videos from many different Gundam series. The problem is there is almost no story at all for most of the shorts. Many are just a mobile suite flying around for a few min then on to the next episode. Its really boring if you are expecting anything fulfilling from the term side story you will not get any of it. Out of the fifteen episodes around 3 have any story elements at all the and these are confusing at best they really expect you to live and breath the series to understand a 5 to 10 min sketch about the double zeta or actually get the retelling of episode 38. As I stated though the rest are very short and have absolutely no story or set up. I recommend saving your money and buy a Gundam game if you are just interested in mobile suit action and an actual series for story.

Highly recommend reading the Wikipedia article to understand the genesis of these mainly CGI shorts. Ideally these would have been included as extras on the appropriate DVD releases, but Japanese rights are rather convoluted. That these are finally released are super cool. This release should have been accompanied by a more detailed track listing so reference to Wikipedia wouldn't be necessary during viewing.
Enjoyable but not for everyone
I went into this knowing that they'd be all short films showcasing various mobile suits, and I personally found it pretty enjoyable. The more Gundam you've seen, the more you'll like it, especially UC series.
Only for diehard fans

This is a solid DVD release of a bunch of shorts focusing on mobile suits. If you are looking for coherent stories with good 2D animation, do not look here. If you want to see some cool 3D animation (especially the Strike episode) and a few good highlights (Double Zeta was particularly amusing for me), then go ahead. Just don't expect anything "full" or "complete".
