About Guilty Crown Part 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD

Guilty Crown Part 1 Limited Edition set contains episodes 1-11 of the anime directed by Tetsuro Araki, plus two 108-page full-color artbooks containing concept art, character designs, creator notes, and other exclusive illustrations.

Shu's entire world was shattered after a meteorite crashed into Japan, unleashing the lethal Apocalypse Virus. The chaos and anarchy born of the outbreak cost Shu his family and reduced him to a timid, fearful shell of the boy he'd once been. His life took another unexpected turn after a chance encounter with the stunning pop star, Inori. This mysterious beauty introduced Shu to the King's Right Hand: a genetic mutation that allows him to reach into hearts of mortals and turn them into weapons.

Shu finds himself caught in the crossfire between those who desperately seek his newfound strength. On one side lurks a clandestine government agency, and on the other, Inori and the spirited band of rebels known as Funeral Parlor. The choice is Shu's to make - and the world is his to change.

Amazing packaging & content!

by

Seriously impressed with Funamation on this release. The two exte booklets that come with this limited edition are both so beautiful and wonderfully to look at. The quality of the book and the overall packaging is of amazing quality! The anime itself is wonderful although it may not be for everyone. I really love the soundtrack and music for Guilty Crown and I am very happy I purchased this! Super satisfied. :)

An Amazing Series Chalk Full of Action and Feels!

Guilty Crown was a pretty good series overall and I had to get the Blu-Ray for this series because I loved the overall concept of the anime.

Product: Funimation and Animplex did a great job with this box and I really do like the artwork on the hardened box that encases the DVD's. It even comes with an extra sleeve to hold part two of the series. Lastly, the box also comes with an art book, chalk full of art, notes about the characters and bios as well!

Overall, super happy with this purchase and if you are a fan of the series then I would recommend getting this series to add to your collection!

One Of The Best FUNimation Limited Edition Sets

This is definitely one of the few good quality collectors editions that FUNimation has put out. I got mine back in 2013 when it first released (because I'm a sucker for artwork books) and after six years and four moves it has survived much better than some of my other collections. The only thing is that like all the other limited edition boxes FUNi put out back then is that it only has the first half the show. You will still need to buy the second half which does fit perfectly in the box with all the other things. It may be a little pricey at face value to the average consumer, but definitely worth the price when it's on sale!

It wants to be great

The animation, near flawless. Music, amazing, action, you bet its good. Protagonist, meh. I really wanted to love this show, but every time the hero of the show talks I rolled my eyes. The voice actor did a great job but the character himself is lame IMO. i understand character growth and that he needs to go from kid to hero. If its done right the arc can be uplifting and inspiring. However if after the first half I have trouble relating to or caring about a primary character, i begin to loose interest.
