A tiny glimmer of light shines from within the Rose Garden
by MCnosurge -
The Yuri genre is captivating, coming from a male perspective. I've finished works from: Maria-sama(reputation truly befitting), Simoun, Strawberry Panic!, Citrus, Yuri is my Job, Bloom into You, Milk Morinaga's works, etc.
Goodbye, my Rose Garden vol.1, I have to express is quite captivating. Set at the end of the Victorian age, a budding friendship on the verge of romance that in itself is socially unacceptable and of all things is between two characters who were raised from different parts of the world and culture. The artwork even interestingly expresses a unique style, while the maid Hanako has the familiar characteristics of the cute Japanese, Lady Alice looks sharp, elegant, and refined.
Interestingly enough, the views of society in the story will most likely make this title fall into a more serious tone, than just two women falling happily in love. I encourage fans of Yuri to give it a chance.
Amazing Manga That’s Very Captivating

This is such a cute manga, it was not what I was expecting at all. The story started out very captivating and I couldn’t put it down. It gives small peeks of what is to come throughout the next manga but it doesn’t give it away. I cannot wait for the second one to be released and shipped.
A Great Intro to Yuri

This was my first yuri series, and my god is it good. The story will suck you in and leave you begging for more. And the art? This manga literally has the best art I've ever seen in manga. Truly beautiful!
