Zul seeds our planet with a secret doomsday weapon--a weapon carried by the robot Gaia, which can be triggered by the infant Mars! But instead of fulfilling his destructive mission, the alien Mars assimilates into human society. Now, Mars lives as a young man names Takeru Myojin. With his allies, the Crasher Squad, Takeru uses the power of Gaia to summon five robot heroes-- Sphinx, Titan, Ra, Shin, and Uranus-- to combine with Gaia and defend the Earth. But there's one catch-- Takeru and his God Mars robot may be mighty, but if he's killed by the forces of Zul (Led by none other than his own brother, Marg), Gaia's bomb will activate, destroying the Earth!

A Surprisingly Good Older Anime That Just So Happens To Have Giant Robots In It!

by -

This anime is a huge block of 80's cheese and I loved it! What you have here is another one of the Psychics piloting Giant Robots shows that were popping up after Mobile Suit Gundam came out. But, I have to say, this one is pretty good. It does have it's flaws however, I mean every episode, save the first and last ones, ends the exact same way and I do mean the exact same way. However, the thing that got me with this one was it's plot. It got surprisingly epic at times and was shockingly dark in others and I found myself actually looking forward to each episode just so I could see what happens next. So if you're looking for a surprisingly good older anime that just so happens to have Giant Robots in it, I highly recommend giving this one a shot!
