Not the Easiest Set for Newcomers, But a Plot Emerges and It's Never Looked More Fine
by MADAO
The dub cast is solid here, though it is a little clear that this was some of their early recording and while they handle most of the emotional beats well, there are still times when their lack of experience with the characters (Kagura's fight with Kamui) or the action scenes (Gin's battle grunts) that could have been better. Still, passing grade all around and their adaptation of the script is fine--they usually are able to stand and deliver when the series calls for it, and do a worthy job. The subs are solid as usual and even should Crunchyroll not continue, there is still a sense of conclusion enough that will leave viewers wanting more, but still feel satisfying given the series arc--with any luck and enough interest, they may continue and satisfying the questions of who the mystery series villain is, among others.
The Gintama experience is even more beautiful on blu ray!

Exceptional shipping by rightsutf as always. My blu ray copy arrived in pristine condition. Aside from the awesome service, It's good to see Gintama gain localization here in the U.S. Although the seasons prior produced by Sunrise aren't currently being sold in blu ray format, I'm happy to own some form of Gintama media. This season is where the main plot takes off to a point of no return. Comedy remains but the characters we've grown to love will forever be changed by the circumstances to come.
Good for Fans

Good for fans of this series, packaging is good and the dub is really funny. I'm also glad there's English credits, only downside is the only special features are trailers.
