In the legendary past, the gods battled for supremacy and cast out the demon god whose name cannot be spoken. Banished to Earth, the demon found refuge on the mysterious and dangerous island known only as "G."After experiencing a crisis of faith, Father Olivier of the Valaria Order decides to go to G and find out the truth behind the legends. Olivier's journey is unsanctioned, and the head of the Order engages the dark elf Suzu to stop him. As he begins his quest, Olivier encounters Ohri, a young girl from the south who cannot speak. As this unlikely pair travels toward their destination for very different reasons, they are shadowed not only the agents of Olivier's order but the by the enemies from Ohri's past...

Our system will occasionally release domestic orders for partial shipping based on our order volume, usually 50% of your products have to be in-stock, however when this occurs it will pull in-stock products from your other orders if applicable.

I'm a big Loveless fan but haven't read much of Kouga's earlier works. This was...okay. It's fantasy of a very RPG-like variety, complete with spells that use specific amounts of MP and characters who literally have to level up.
I'm not sure yet how I feel about this, but I plan to at least see what the next volume is like.
FYI, don't expect the interior art to be like the cover. I think the cover art was drawn in 2005 (judging by Kouga's afterword), whereas the manga itself was originally published in the early '90s in Japan. Kouga's style has changed a lot over the years, and visually Gestalt has more in common with Earthian than Loveless.
