This is why I like Japanese authors; they don't write Disney stories.

The author, Marii Taiyou, did a wonderful job writing and illustrating real life emotions into the characters of this story. While full of comical antics, I can say that I really felt for the characters as the story reached its conclusion. This one just goes to show not everyone can have a happy ending, but it is still better to be honest with your feelings both to yourself and the one you have feelings for. There may not be any mechanical robots or being transported to another world, but this is a great slice-of-life story that many readers may be able to relate to with their own personal experiences.
