About Gakuen Alice DVD Anime Elements

Gakuen Alice contains all 26 Episodes of the anime directed by Takahiro Ōmori.

And you thought your school was weird!

Mikan and Hotaru are best friends! (Well, according to Mikan, anyway. Hotaru doesn't seem to care.) Then one day, Hotaru is escorted away in a fancy black car, apparently scouted by a school in Tokyo called "Alice Academy." Crushed at the loss of her favorite pal, Mikan scurries after her, determined to enroll, too!

But Alice Academy is a mysterious place. Can Mikan tough it out in a school where explosions, superpowers, giant baby chicks and axe-wielding teddy bears are the norm? Though it's not as if she has a choice, because once students enter Alice Academy, there is no escape!

A great kiddie series

Like the X-Men? Want a light-hearted romp through what's essentially another school for mutants, but with a bit less world saving? Welcome to the Alice Academy, a large school with likely hundreds of students.

There's a lot of comedy, a little romance (nothing serious, the main characters are elementary-school kids), a vapid main character with disturbing levels of enthusiasm and her almost-Vulcan friend. Some kids have fantastic powers, others have powers that are more silly than useful.

Bad things happen, but in the end everything works out okay. -ish. A few problems are hand-waved away for the sake of a happy ending, but a good clean series for anyone to watch.
