OK i have got to say although the fullmetal alchemist series is over this movie does a really good job delivering a story without compromising the the fullmetal alchemist universe it may not be canon but the story makes up for it, i really hope studio bones makes a new FMA movie.

This movie gives us a broader view in the world of full metal alchemist brotherhood taking us to the border with CRETA. The animation was gorgeous as expected from STUDIO BONES, all the English voices cast had an outstanding job, an excellent story development and interesting new characters.
A great addition to any FMA FAN.
I thought this movie came with a slipcover as in the picture above; but It was just the case with DVD/Bluray disc when I opened the box. Besides that the product was in good condition and the discs played without any problem

This film is a perfect summation of everything great about FMA: fantastic animation, awesome characters, and an involving story. The plot's political allegories provide a rich backdrop as Ed and Al encounter Julia, a freedom fighter and great new heroine for the series. At its best, FMA is a fantasy with real-world parallels, and the film brings these fascinating themes to bear. Packed with breathtaking action and striking set pieces, the animation in the film is utterly fantastic. The animation crew was supervised by Kenichi Konishi (who worked with Studio Ghibli and Satoshi Kon) and later did Space Dandy and One Punch Man, so you know what you're in for. Equally impressive is the epic musical score by Taro Iwashiro, awesome voice acting, and great direction from first-timer Kazuya Murata. The film's excellence makes one hope for more stand-alone FMA adventures, but even if this is the last we see of Ed and Al, it's the perfect way to send them off: on another rip-roaring adventure.
