Love mechs, comedy, school settings?

You won't regret buying this novel. First things first this a light novel which is the original source material from where the the 2 anime seasons along with the spin off anime are based on. If you haven't watched the anime I would still recommend reading it it's about a guy who is considered by the main girl kaname a total war nut. It has scifi elements giant robots along with some comedy and a bit of slice of life. It's a great series and I would strongly recommend using it as a start into light novels along with spice and wolf.
