About Full Metal Panic Blu-ray/DVD Anime Classics

Full Metal Panic! collection contains episodes 1-24 of the anime directed by Koichi Chigira.

Kaname Chidori's one of the most popular girls at her high school - unfortunately, it's her growing popularity off campus she should be worrying about. Unbeknownst to Kaname, terrorists are plotting her abduction, believing she possesses the rare and coveted abilities of "the Whispered."

That's where Sousuke Sagara enters the picture. He's a hotshot soldier from the clandestine counter-terrorist organization known as Mithril - and he's going undercover at Kaname's school to try and keep her safe. He may be an ace in the cockpit of an Arm Slave mech, but there's no training in the world that could prepare him for the warzone of high school.

Great series

by

One of the best Anime to watch especially if you're just starting out. It has a really nice blend of genres from Mecha, Action to romantic comedy. I will the shows tone tends to shift a lot which can be a little weird, but still it is a fantastic series.

Excellent Show, So-so Release

by -

While Full Metal Panic itself is excellent, the video quality on this release is kinda iffy. FMP is right on the cusp of old enough to need a remaster, and the CG is quite low-resolution, and they letterboxed the 4:3 OP, resulting in a windowboxing effect on modern 16:9 TVs. The audio is also only stereo on both languages.

It's quite reasonably priced, though, and this is the best release of FMP to date.

A great "original" series

by -

FMP is a great series but i think they lost something in the pass of year´s but...
Here and in FMP Fullmofu are the great shine moment´s of the franchise!
The series is a "mark" in anime history; must because in what they did!, a "multi face" series blendind in the mix drama, humor, love? and a sci-fi theme and they maded a great series not the normal disaster when a anime try to focus various theme´s.
Is a great series of action! (Ok! the CG is really outdated for today).
Great humor!
And great story and vilain!
Is a series very fun to watch series!
If you want action, humor and even romance!?
You will found all here!

Good intro into Mecha

by

I had never been a Mecha fan and really never had any interest in watching Mecha, but I kinda wanted to watch this one because it seemed to be more than just Mecha, so I gave it a try. I actually enjoyed the Mecha aspect better than I thought too so I’ll likely watch more mecha in the future. Good action and serious battle scenes are awesome. There is some comedy and ridiculous stuff but it is usually reserved for situations where it doesn’t clash with serious situations. Pretty good overall anime.
