For the Hopeless Romantic in All of Us!
A fairy tale for the outcasts. This underrated series is a true triumph. With an intriguing storyline and unique sense of humor, this anime has something for everyone. I bought my copy on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! A perfect mix of tragic drama and light hearted comedy (including some tasteful and well written “adult humor”.) with a splash of fantasy and a touch of romance. A treasure for any anime fan! I only wish it had run the full course of its Manga counterpart…

Fruits Basket Blu-ray
Purchased this in 2017. While rewatching it gives me a nostalgia feeling when it first came out here in the USA from my college days.
Story is very interesting. Most characters have traumatic pasts and learn to overcome their hardships. The overall story is about loneliness & friendship.
The story, art, music, characters are so lovable and charming. The animation isn’t amazing if you are comparing to newer shows but still cute. Story combining elements of fantasy, slice-of-life/shoujo, reverse harem romance comedy & drama. If you are not into slice-of-life/shoujo I would not suggest this anime.
Wish the anime would have continued to tell manga’s complete story and not stop 25% through. The manga takes a darker turn then the beginning anime/manga. Visually it’s a bit outdated.
This is the first anime I fell in love with. It is the kind of fairy tail little girls dream of. It is also anime that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Drawback is the anime stops at manga #12. Rumor is they are going to finish the anime; starting in 2019. I am hopeful.
