Fun and confusing

by

So I watched this series today after receiving it in the mail and what an odd audio visual journey it took me on. Let me first explain what Fractale is; It is a system that ensures stability of the human race by providing for humans every need and want, enabling them to simply live their lives free of worry. That is what I got from the story anyway as it is never really clearly explained. The story follows the boy Clain and his adventures trying to figure out who the girl Phyrne is and what her connection to Fractale means for the world. The series starts out very strong with lots of slapstick comedy and a few memorable characters. The middle episodes of the series kind of drags on a bit with no significant development but still quite entertaining. The end while a bit lacking in explanation, is quite heartwarming and suitable. It is worth a viewing at least once.

A visually stunning journey.

A beautiful anime asking what over reliance on technology can do to a society.
