A great new series

The author to this series also made Soul Eater so I had high expectations when first reading this and was not disappointed! The art is detailed and immersive, there is a lot of feiry moments (literaly). The story itself is unique, as a young boy with fire powers on the soles of his feet strives to become a hero, and I'm excited to see where it will go. Its filled with humor, some really silly pervy moments, and fun characters. It's a series I'll be continuing for sure!
A whole new take on firefighters

I was looking for a new series and the art style on the cover instantly caught my eye. Once I learned that this manga was created by the same artist/author of the Soul Eater series I was extremely intrigued. I ordered the first volume, read through it, and was HOOKED! I bought the rest of the volumes and pre-ordered the newest one right after. The story is interesting and the art makes makes me feel nostalgic while still reading something completely new.
You will love this series if you enjoy a good action manga (especially if you enjoyed Soul Eater)!
Ohkubo's at full throttle on this one
Great shonen manga, with an incredibly interesting premise, great story, more hit than miss comedy, amazing art work, and a well paced plot. The most surprising thing when coming into Ohkubo's(known for soul eater) new work, was how satisfyingly well-paced the story is. every arc leads into the next, and there's never a sense of hitting the reset button after a big fight or the end of an arc. You can see Ohkubo's growth as a mangaka here, with the story being surprisingly scaled down while remaining intriguing, the characters being simpler in their motivations while still being endearing, likable, and most importantly cool, and the art being astonishing impactful when it needs to be. Anyone who is a fan of shonen should give this manga a try, as it is a display of a veteran honing his craft even further.
Fun new manga by Atsushi Okubo!

Another fun manga from the creator of Soul Eater! I went into this manga blind just to see what it was about. Wasn't disappointed! It has the same distinctive artwork as Soul Eater and a really interesting setting and theme. The characters are all quite likable so far and it's nice to see Okubo get back to doing more fan service in his manga again! I'm excited to see where the story goes and get more vols to read! If you like Soul Eater or shonen with a bit of fan service I'm sure you'll enjoy this series!
