Worth the wait
by Jackson -
Originally released as 2 separate season collections, as pricey as this set is you save a nice chunk of change and some shelf space if you waited to get this collection instead. The Blu-ray discs are still the same as before. Lossless LPCM audio for both English and Japanese tracks. Earlier this year I actually considered importing the Japanese Standard Edition re-release from Amazon Japan. That import collection included English subs and even the English dub but it sadly didn't include the Sunny Day OVA, and the English dub was lossy audio. I'm glad I was in no rush and was happy when Aniplex of America announced this complete collection re-release so I could buy a more complete version instead. While I don't enjoy paying premium prices complaining at this point isn't going to change anything. Unlimited Blade Works is one the few titles AoA has that I was willing to overpay for and I'm very happy with my purchase.
Unlimited Price Works

At first glance it may not seem worth it considering the price and what you get is simply the Series and the Episode Booklet. But considering the Limited Editions were divided into two parts with each one being two to three hundreds each. Well then this is the perfect set and price for those who want to own the series but doesn't really care about the Art Books or Soundtrack that often comes with the limited editions and you don't have to dig out over 400$. The series comes in both Japanese and English Dub and comes with additional footage in certain episodes that weren't shown when aired on cable cause lack of time. Like they done with Fate Zero, i hope they will also make a box set for the three Heaven's Feel movies in the future. :)
Great to see UBW back in print nice, high quality set from Aniplex
by Phoenix -
This is honestly a really nice set from Aniplex. If you enjoy the Fate series and collect physical media this is definitely worth the purchase, when the original 2 part set was released I wasn’t able to purchase them and I had been trying to find them online secondhand. As I’m sure you can imagine I was really happy to find out this set was on the way, as out of print titles, especially the Aniplex titles cost quite a lot. It was looking to be double this price at the very least. The artwork is gorgeous and the boxset is very high quality, not flimsy like the Madoka release. This also has the Sunny Day OVA as well as the entirety of UBW. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the Fate series, as this is one of the best. It just recently came out but you never know if or when it’ll be out of print, so I’d suggest grabbing it while you can; don’t make the same mistake I did the first time around.
It's pricey but worth it for any Fate fan

If you are a huge fan of the fate series then this is a must have. The entire UBW tv series is in a nice sleek package that is aesthetically pleasing. It looks great on a self with your collection. That being said if you are not a huge fan of the fate series then it would probably not be worth it since all you really get is the box and cases with the blu-rays.
Definitely worth it.

I love fate stay night so when they first released it I was pretty disappointed with the overly expensive release which was two parts. The original two part release came with the soundtrack and some other extras but nothing particularly special. With that being said this release is just the show and some extras on blu ray it doesn't come with the soundtrack. The extras on blu ray are textless openings and endings, trailers, tv spots, Cms, pv collections and the special ova sunny day. For some it's a deal breaker but the fact it's half the cost of the original set I'm ok with it. I still think it's a little over priced but that's aniplex for you. Over all other than the price I'm very happy to own it and would highly recommend picking it up if you are a fan of the series.
Excellent release for an excellent show

Unlimited Blade Works is a tier above most other anime, and the ideal series to jump into the greater Fate franchise. The animation alone makes this show worth watching, but the plot and especially the characters hold up their end as well.
That said, this box set is expensive enough that you're likely already a fan of the show or franchise if you're considering it. The box set itself is as high quality as you would expect. While it doesn't have anything other than the blu-rays themselves, everything feels premium. The cases holding the discs are pretty & well-made, and the discs themselves look good too. There aren't any ads for other shows when starting up the disc, and the menu screen itself is a step above most other releases.
If you're a fan I can say this is a great collectors piece, and the uncompressed blu-ray quality really lets the animation shine.
