About Fate/kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2Wei Herz! Blu-ray

Fate/kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2Wei Herz! contains episodes 1-10.

Illyasviel von Einzbern's life has become ridiculously complicated since the Kaleidostick Ruby convinced her to become a magical girl and join the quest for collecting the seven Class Cards. Since then, almost every day has brought a new surprise, from gaining new friends and partners like Miyu Edelfelt, to encountering her own magical twin!

One would think Illya deserves a little time off, right? No such luck: a trip to the beach quickly turns into a magical quest, and Illya finds herself caught in a string of magical feuds, encounters with love potions, an excursion into the world of "boys love" comics (plus the women who read them), and half a dozen other delirious diversions.

However, that's only the warm-up for what might be her final mission: recovering the long-lost Eighth Card! It's a mystical whirlwind of unexpected escapades and surprising new revelations as Illya's saga continues in FATE/KALEID LINER PRISMA ILLYA 2WEI! HERZ!

Special Features: Herz! Shorts, Japanese Promos, Commericials and Commentaries, Clean Opening Animation.

More Prisma Illya! Horay!! More Anime Shorts! YAY!!!

Story (No Spoilers): Season 3 continues to entertain with its mix of comedy, slice of life and its action/character-driven plot. Although the amount of action scenes has deceased a bit, the animation remains most impressive. The continued theme of friendship and interpersonal conflict is still the series' most redeeming quality.
English Dub: The english dub has improved greatly since S1 as the characters sound much more refined and livelier. Extra points to Sentai for Dubbing the Hertz shorts.
Extra Content: It appears third time the charm for Sentai, as this latest addition to the series includes all of the Hertz shorts (English & Japanese Dub). Very happy about this considering the 1st season release didn’t include any and the 2nd had only 3 of 5 shorts. Clean Opening & 2 Closings. Also, contrary to Rightstuf's list of extras: there are no Commentaries in this release.
Packaging: Basic Blu-ray case with a one-sided slip cover. Different artwork is used for each disk and BD menu.

Ready for more? Can you handle it? Illya, Miyu and Chloe are back.

I will make this short and sweet. Even if you have no prior knowledge of the Fate/Verse you will still be able to enjoy this series. Think of Madoka meets Card Captor Sakura. Though not as dark as Madoka, at first. If you are a fan of the Fate franchise then from here it only gets better with the lore and a different take on a few key characters with some great new ones. All five of the Herz! shorts are included.

The Series continues to get better!

An Interesting Diversion

Kaleid/liner takes a while to really get going. Set in an alternate timeline with lots of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia references, Kaleid isn't going to be for everyone. The high levels of loli ecchi will scare away some Fate fans, while attracting a different crowd. They hit maximum density in Season 3 with the loli ecchi, especially the BL-focused episode and Mimi's character arc. Season 3 is a self-contained plot that is mostly just slice-of-life pseudo-filler. Even though source manga isn't finished, there was more storyline after this point.

Getting to the blurays themselves, they're uncensored, and finally they bothered to include all of the OVA shorts that the Japanese releases had for Season 3. These things are a bit highly priced for the amount of episodes, though. Someday they should do a compilation pack.
