About Fairy Tail Dragon Cry Blu-ray/DVD

In Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, in the Kingdom of Fiore lies a terrible weapon. Enter the Dragon Cry, a magical staff rumored to possess power capable of destroying the world. For years, it’s been safely guarded and kept away from those tempted by its power. But everything changes when a traitor named Zash manages to steal it away. Now, in the hands of Animus—the cruel ruler of the Kingdom of Stella—a plot begins to form with the fate of the world at their mercy.

Luckily, a simple recovery task is nothing for the wizards of Fairy Tail! Together, Natsu and his friends will go undercover to infiltrate Stella Kingdom in hopes of getting answers and restoring safety to the realm. But they’ll quickly find there’s more to this staff than the stories claim. What power really dwells within the Dragon Cry, and is the gang strong enough to fight ultimate destruction?

Dissapointing

I've watched the whole series of fairy tail and the previous movie and this was the worst in terms of animation and story. This didnt even have a movie feel. Felt more like a ova. The animation and character design is the worst out of all the previous fairy tail animations. Lack of detail and oddly shaped women throws off the look of the characters. For example extremely large breasts and extremely wide hips. The females are all drawn thicc and they have never looked this way before in any of the adaptions. In one scene while lucy was running she was just boobs and a head. The animators didnt even bother to draw in a neck. This is just one example of the awkwardness of the character designs.
The story is lazy as well and extremely forgettable. Not really entertaining and for the most part boring. A couple laughs but that doesnt make a movie good.
As a fan of fairy tail this was an extreme let down.

Incredibly amazing on the first view.

I had a very good time watching the second of film of one of the greatest animes/manga works ever. From learning about the history and truth behind the Dragin Cry staff to questioning what each character's real intentions were, made the experience all the more thrilling. What caught me by complete surprise and to the point of shedding tears were the appearances of Zeref, Brandish, and Invel during the film's post end credits. Fairy Tail has never once ceased to amaze me and countless fans in ever! This movie is a another reason to love Fairy Tail itself and the upcoming last story arcs.

This movie was definitely worth while. The story was good and also the dialogue was less cheesy. I enjoyed it alot more then the previous movie.

Watch after episode 283!

by

While I found this movie to be much more entertaining than the first, it's generally just more of the same. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that it becomes more of a chore when you kind of see where everything is going. Though, perhaps I am just being a bit too hard on it because I wasn't able to enjoy the plot resolution since it hinged on magic abilities that I've never seen the characters use prior to episode 277. See below:

I want to alert you that this movie contains spoilers for Fairy Tail season 9. A lot of places on the internet will tell you that it is ok to watch this movie after episode 277 (Fairy Tail Zero). This is WRONG information. If you want to avoid spoilers, wait until you watch up to episode 283.
