Still great series, the future looks bright

Probably deserves a 5 star but it lost one from me just because the pace dropped hard and the last book was so good, I get that we can't just go from excitement to excitement the whole time but it felt a little too jarring in my opinion. About halfway into the book I was back into it and feeling invested again but after the ending from book 2 how could we have just gone from max excitement to nothing instantly?
