FLCL Vinyl Soundtrack

I just pre-ordered this item and I can't wait! I love the show and all the music is great and awesome! I know I'm going to love it when it comes in November.

This vinyl just came in today after having pre-ordered it a few months back and boy am I glad they released the vinyl for this anime. FLCL has got one of my favorite anime soundtracks of all time. The Pillows have such a catchy and dynamic sound that really shines through in the anime. To sum it up, it's basically some of The Pillows greatest hits on vinyl form. If you're a fan of their work on FLCL or just a pillows fan in general you'll probably be very proud to have made this purchase.

You owe it to yourself if you are a vinyl lover, alt-rock, J-Rock, and FLCL fan to get this album. This is one of the best pressings of any release I have ever received. This was WELL worth the price for the sheer amount of quality and attention to detail put into this release. My only gripe is that it lacks the song "I Think I Can" one of the most important songs from the show in my opinion. But even still, fantastic, fantastic, fantastic release! Get this while you can!

Got to say this soundtrack is fantastic and all the songs are great. It has everything that I remember from the original anime and more. Whats even better is that they have a sheet that has the lyrics for each song with vocals. My only issue with it is that the song Last Dinosaur is not the full song but only a 20 second instrumental. Would have love to give this 5 stars but that is my favorite song in FLCL so I have to take of points for that. Hopefully the progressive/alternative soundtrack has the full song.

The problem i have wasn't condition of my order, not what was included, but was actually on the record itself. More specifically, the first record. LAST DINOSAUR is one of my favorite songs not only in the soundtrack, but in general. I immediately put the record on to play, and was super excited to finally play the song on wax. Only to be utterly dissapointed to only be able to listen to 20 seconds on the song before it ends. I have the Progressive/Alternative soundtracks on vinyl which includes LAST DINOSAUR as well, but of course its the newer version The Pillows made for the later seasons so its different than the one in the first season. I wish it was mentioned in the description of the product so that I would have thought about it before ordering and save me from my disappointment. Other than that thought, the rest was good.

I was excited to receive this vinyl record, and it did not disappoint. The music is a such a huge part of FLCL and to have it on vinyl makes me very happy.

The packaging is fantastic and record plays clean and is free from defects.

Also huge shoutout to Rightstuf for using vinyl record specific shipping boxes. There are still music retailers that aren’t doing this, so thanks for keeping the record safe!

I got this soundtrack on CD when FLCL came out back in the early oughts, and it has held a special place in my library as not just a great soundtrack to a brilliant and crazy anime but as my first introduction to The Pillows.

This release is a lovely double-LP of the first soundtrack to FLCL. The packaging is high quality, and has a nice silver band around the outside and a lyric sheet insert with liner notes. The front features the super hip black and white original cover art from the first CD soundtrack.

The music is the same as original release- which means some full and instrumental Pillows songs, as well as other background music. I saw a couple of the other reviews complained that the song "Last Dinosaur" appears only as 20-second long cut. That is because that version was used for the next episode previews, so the full version is not included on this OST. The third FLCL soundtrack has all the Pillows songs from the show

I love the music from the show as much as anybody, and the thing is, that's all you're getting here. A little less actually. You can see right in the track list Crazy Sunshine, one of the emotional high points of the series, is missing.

Everything else you typically get the same song clip you heard in the series, not the full version. This means the songs are usually short, recut and/or missing lyrics and... just not satisfying.

On top of that there's music I don't recognize from the series, taking up space that could have gone to the great songs that a person buys the album for.

The album art is nice imo, which is good, b/c I feel like I may as well have just bought a picture, not a music album.

This is one of my favorite anime plus I love the music soundtracks. If you love J-Rock or you haven’t seen FLCL, watch the anime then listen to the music it's a classic.
