About Expelled from Paradise Limited Edition Blu-ray
This limited edition of Expelled from Paradise comes with a deluxe booklet including an interview with the screenwriter Urobuchi Gen and a pin-up card.
With Earth left in ruins following the "Nano Hazard," most of humanity has abandoned the planet they once called home along with their physical bodies and rebuilt their digitalized minds into a society within the cyber universe of "DEVA."
In A.D. 2400, DEVA's central council detects an incident of unauthorized access into their mainframe. Someone on Earth was trying to hack into the system. The only information DEVA was able to retrieve was that the hacker referred to himself as "Frontier Setter."
To investigate the mysterious hacker's motives, the high officials of DEVA dispatch System Security Third Officer Angela Balzak to the Earth's surface. Equipped with a prosthetic "material body," Angela attempts to make contact with local agent Dingo, but what awaits her instead is a swarm of Sandworms infesting the Earth's surface. Angela intercepts the gruesome pests with her exoskeletal powered suit Arhan.
Will Angela and Dingo be able to find Frontier Setter on this devastated planet? Their journey to explore the secrets of the world begins now!

Ratings & Reviews
Fast-paced, very entertaining & good-looking action in futuristic setting where 98% of humanity live in computerized virtual reality onboard the DEVA satellite. The female protagonist has to go down to the "real world", aka Earth, to investigate the mysterious hacker known as Frontier Setter - and there the adventure starts. Lighthearted movie with a dark undertone of existensialism.
Expelled...from mediocrity! Excellent film!

This was a blind purchase for me and knowing Aniplex's high price-points, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great futuristic story with amazing animation, especially during heavy action sequences. Can be pretty predictable at times but still manages to come out as an entertaining and emotional story. The characters, despite being animated in 3D, have a 2-D traditional "cel-animation" look. The resulting models look great on their own, but their movement has a slight choppiness to it and sometimes it looks like even the original Japanese voice-acting doesn't match up with the way the characters move. Once you accept this as a reality early in the film, it's easy to forget about and focus on the story.
Comes with an attractive outer-cover, 30-page booklet, collectable pin-up card and a bonus disc that has a 30 min. making-of documentary.
A fun film despite, it's flaws.
Expelled From Paradise is, to put it simply, a fun watch. It's not very complicated, but it doesn't need to be. The film may not have the strongest characters, the deepest story, and the 3d animation can be off putting for some, but it's fine none the less. It looks great, sounds great, and is filled with some spectacular action sequences. If you're a fan of sci fi and want something fun and interesting, I definitely recommend this.

I enjoyed the anime with the amazing voice actors it was given (dub and sub)
This is also one of the few AOA releases that came in not a bad price <3
I made a unboxing video on YouTube if you wish to check it out , no regrets ;)
Excellent Anime Movie

I've watched the movie before. The story and the character design are both wonderful. Because of the time limit of a movie, the story seems to be too short and the ending is not very exciting.

This anime is a lot of fun. It's a fast pace sci-fi action that keeps you entertained from beginning to end. I really enjoyed the 3D animation that looked hand draw even though it was done digitally. As a wanna be anime artist, the art booklet (with character designs in it) and the bonus disc (with the making of featurette) are great extras for this limited edition set.
