About Expelled from Paradise Blu-ray

In Expelled From Paradise, Earth has been left in ruins following the "Nano Hazard." Most of humanity has abandoned the planet they once called home along with their physical bodies and rebuilt their digitalized minds into a society within the cyber universe of "DEVA."

A.D. 2400, DEVA's central council detects an incident of unauthorized access into their mainframe. Someone on Earth was trying to hack into the system. The only information DEVA was able to retrieve was that the hacker referred to himself as "Frontier Setter."

To investigate the mysterious hacker's motives, the high officials of DEVA dispatch System Security Third Officer Angela Balzak to the Earth's surface. Equipped with a prosthetic "material body," Angela attempts to make contact with a local agent Dingo, but what awaited her instead was a swarm of Sandworms now infesting the Earth's surface. Angela intercepts the gruesome pests with her exoskeletal powered suit Arhan.

Will Angela and Dingo be able to find Frontier Setter on this devastated planet? Their journey to explore the secrets of the world begins now...!

Jaw-Dropping Astounding Sci-Fi Action

Studio Graphinica's first feature film should have everyone sitting up and taking notice for its 3DCG that looks like hand-drawn and for out-doing Michael Bey in the mech/action department. The English dub is a special treat as it reunites Wendee Lee and Steve Blum ('Cowboy Bebop's Faye and Spike) in the type of sci-fi adventure worthy of that classic anime: Beau Billingsley ('Bebop's' Jet) also has a small-yet significant role. And Johnny Yong-Bosch gives one of his best performances as 'Frontier Setter'. The pacing is great--not a slow spot anywhere--and NARASAKI provides a great techno-heavy soundtrack well-suited to the film. I need to own this: you should too!

The Sci-fi Western You've Been Looking For

by -

This film blends several different genres into a cohesive plot and builds an amazingly well thought-out cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic world. While not truly groundbreaking nor much like the dark, depressing works screenwriter Gen Urobuchi is famous for such as Fate/Zero or Psycho Pass it is nonetheless one of the best if not the best anime experiences I've had watching a film in a while. If you like cyberpunk, space western, mecha, sci-fi, or comedy anime, Expelled From Paradise is well worth your time. Animation, voice-acting, and music are all superb that match the atmosphere perfectly. My only nitpick is the steep price running at what one could put towards a full 12 episode series.

An Amazing 3DCG Experience

Gen Urobuchi of Madoka Magica fame brings us a CGI theatrical release that combines cutting edge computer animation and classic science fiction story-telling. The music, characters, settings, and amazing cinematography give this one-off tale of the human condition a life of its own. Highly recommended for fans of sci-fi adventure.

High Quality Anime!

I've watched this movie online at least twice before and decided that it was worth seeing again! It's one of the first anime that were created in 3D and edited to look 2D. The quality and fluidity of that process make for a very enjoyable and memorable animation.
Not only is the animation of superior quality, but the story is well made. You get character and social development, mystery, adventure, moral debate, and existential theory!

Well worth supporting, owning, and re-watching!

Top Tier Animated Moive

First time to watch this was streaming online and without a second thought I bought the Blu-Ray and I was so lucky to get the last limited edition on the RightStuf.
Although post-apocalypse type of Anime/Movie are quite common these days, Expelled From Paradise is still a great Story, world setting, character creation and interaction. Human like AI, living in Virtual World is not a brand new idea but still deliver some essence and inspiration in less than 2 hours.
The visual quality is top tier just like Gainax's production.
I wish they will make the 2nd movie.
