The Modern World View Vs A Personal View

by -

The protagonist of this book is Asuka who has a successful job but her ideal life is to be married and quit her job and become a homemaker. At a wedding she catches the bouquet and sees it as an omen that she and her boyfriend of 5 years will soon get engaged. While at the wedding she meets a young man who is a very successful and popular newscaster who respects her choice for wanting to become a homemaker although he himself could never want to be married.

Soon after Asuka's boyfriend breaks up with her claiming he wants to quit his job and try his luck at acting and that she would marry anyone who proposed to her. It seems everyone around her looks down on women who want to become homemakers except the guy who says he could never see himself getting married but could see himself in a relationship with Asuka.

Overall this looks like it's going to be a cute series where two ideals will clash and the readers must stay tuned to see who will triumph!

Josei Fans ~ Just Add It To Your Cart Already!

by

If you are a fan of Happy Marriage?! then you are going to want to pick up this new series. It's a josei without all the supernatural. It's twenty-somethings with careers - not high school. (Amen!) The romance is fun and quirky - two people with opposite goals who can't help but like each other. The first volume quickly moves through character exposition to put the readers in the middle of Asuka's conundrum - follow her feelings for Ryu and end up heart-broken, or try to find someone else with her same goals? I can tell that the smut is coming soon, maybe the next volume or so, but it's gonna be oh so fun to read! The art is very attractive and the pacing of the story moves along well. It's only 5 volumes, so I'm highly optimistic about the outcome of the romance and look forward to seeing how it ends.

A wonderful Josei story!

No high school. I enjoy the typical shojo stories but I've been reading manga for over 30 years now. I really enjoy the Josei stories but so few of them are serialized. This one is definitely a jewel! 9 volumes total and not a filler story in it. I do like the ending but volume 9 seems rushed. It could really have used a volume 10 to fill in some spaces but the rushed ending doesn't ruin things for me. It still works great and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to know about life after high school!
